Beaumont Health System
Greater Detroit, Troy, and Grosse Point, MI
Beaumont Healthcare is the first to incorporate an interactive “treasure hunt” into their Rich Media website content. They integrated an innovative, on-line marketing campaign into high-impact, interactive hospital virtual tours. Beaumont placed their mascot, a teddy bear named “Beau”, into many of the 360 degree scenes within the virtual tour during our photo shoot. We then programmed the teddy bear to be “clickable” within the images with invisible hotspots.
Beaumont Healthcare then ran an on-line marketing campaign encouraging visitors to find and click each instance of “Beau” until they found the “winning” hotspot location. When visitors found the winning Beau they were eligible to enter a contest to win a Kindle Fire HDX 7″ Tablet and a $50 Amazon gift card.
The campaign was a tremendous success that encouraged visitors to enjoy the many compelling stops on their virtual tour while engaging in a fun (and potentially rewarding) game of “Hide-and-Beau-Seek”.
A high-impact, interactive virtual tour serves as tremendously compelling Rich Media content for a Healthcare System website. A well done virtual tour will often be the most widely visited content on the website, generating many thousands of views of actual healthcare resources, facilities, service lines and corporate culture. It’s a very effective marketing and recruiting tool and is a great way to extend your brand in a visually dynamic fashion. And as demonstrated by Beaumont Healthcare, a great medium for a virtual, interactive “treasure hunt” as well!
